Representing Unions

Very few law firms are founded upon social principles. The long and historic legacy of Levy Phillips APC represents a consistent effort to advance the causes of working men and women.

Let’s face it, American workers have gotten a bad deal economically and politically, with few exceptions, for decades.  Because times are difficult and working people need help, Levy Phillips APC is ready to provide exceptional representation. We believe in principles of collective action and solidarity as the best way to achieve those ends.  That is why we see ourselves as not just an advocate for the labor movement, but as part of the labor movement.

The founding father of our firm, Abe Levy, was a product of the labor movement, as was his father.  Both men had a resolute belief in trade unions and remained true to trade unions and working class people throughout their lives.

Today, from our law offices in Woodland Hills, California, the firm represents more than forty (40) labor organizations, employee benefit funds, and individual employees in both the private and public sector. Though we reside in Southern California, we are licensed to practice in federal courts, California and Nevada state courts, and our firm’s reach extends to many geographic areas beyond Southern California.

Because we have an outstanding reputation among those familiar with labor and social justice issues, when we hire new lawyers, we seek to attract to those who not only have solid academic credentials, but share the firm's commitment to social and economic justice.
